Hi,

As part of migration we (at SMK) have imported production person in a cataloguing record. Going to the person's name authority record I can't see the reverse relationship from the person to cataloguing record. Is it to come or are there a jira for that?

In the cataloguing Schema we have noticed that Object name Field type has been changed from Concept authority to Controlled text. Can we still create a hierarchy in Object name?

Thanks,

Kirsten

Migration and reverse relationship and object name

Good questions!

Right now, the relationships between procedures and authority terms can only be seen if the term is in a non-repeating field. Using an Acquisition record as an example: if Kirsten Vittrup is the Acquisition Authorizer, a non-repeating field, then the reciprocal relationship will appear. If she is the donor, a repeating field, it will not. Many of the bugs related to repeating fields - they can't be searched, the sidebar doesn't updated, etc. - will be able to be fixed when we move to the newest version of Nuxeo at the beginning of October.

The data type of the Object Name field was changed only because we don't currently have a concept authority. If SMK develops one, or shares with another implementer who is, there would be no problem changing that field's data type.

Hope this helps, please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Best regards,
Megan

Migration and reverse relationship and object name

Hi Megan and Kirsten,

Jan Eklund is looking at the concept schema right now. We might have a minor change or two to make but then we would like to propose it as a contribution. We'll send it out for review as we've done with place authority.

Thanks,
Chris
